Care in Your Sixties & Beyond

During a woman's 60s and beyond, continued GYN evaluations are important to address any new or on going issues. During these years, either an annual exam or a breast and pelvic exam every two years is typical. You will want to discuss the appropriate timing of visits with your healthcare provider.
Since we are a GYN specialist, we encourage you to also have a primary care provider.
Well Visits
An annual well woman visit or breast/pelvic exam every other year is important for overall health. It is vital that these visits occur when well, and that problem visits be scheduled. We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider to determine your personalized health care plan.
Mammograms
Typically an annual mammogram is appropriate until the age of 75. Additional mammogram testing may be ordered based on the need for diagnostic imaging.
